In 2020, I received a LinkedIn message from Murray, one of our directors, about an opportunity at Michael Page. We discussed my sales experience, the role of a recruitment consultant, and career paths at the company. It sounded exciting, and I was inspired.

Our conversations began in December 2019, but the hiring process took time as the business was still setting up in the Philippines. When the pandemic hit, while many companies struggled, Michael Page expanded, hiring people and opening a new office. This showed me they truly invest in their people. Despite delays, they made the effort to accommodate me. I met leaders like Murray, Rhi,Carla, and Olly, each of whom inspired me. That’s when I knew I wanted to join.

How have you grown with PageGroup?

Joining Michael Page in 2020 was a bold move, but I wouldn’t change it. As the first consultant hired, I’ve seen the business grow from a small team to nearly 50 people. My career has moved quickly—from associate consultant to managing the finance recruitment team. Each step has challenged me to learn, adapt, and grow. I’ve built a team, won clients, and discovered my true potential.

If my 2019 self walked in now, she’d be surprised but I’d just smile and say, “Take the leap. It’s worth it.”

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

What drew me to Michael Page was its purpose: PageGroup changes lives. That mission drives me every day.

This job is about helping people take the next step in their careers, achieve their goals, and unlock opportunities. Whether placing a candidate in their dream role or helping a clientfind the rightleader, I know our work makes a difference. It’s fulfilling to see our impact, not just in business outcomes but in people’s lives. Recruitment is about connection, and I’m grateful to be part of it.

What is your usual day-to-day schedule at PageGroup?

As a finance team manager, my day involves collaboration, strategy, and hands-on recruitment. Mornings start with a quick check-in with my team, ensuring we’re delivering the best service. Leadership meetings follow, where we discuss business strategy and team development.

Afternoons are spent on desk reviews, guiding consultants, responding to emails, and meeting with CFOs or business leaders. Whether in the office or at a coffee meeting, every day is about driving value and building relationships.
